Rachel Zahn, MD has a varied professional background as a pediatrician, parent educator, and child advocacy leader. She is currently working to bring national attention to our child wellness crisis and serves on the Boards of Directors of The Alia Organization, Alongside Network, and Better Together Foster Parenting.

A longtime political activist, Rachel has volunteered for political campaigns since her teen years and was part of the group that flipped Darrell Issa’s Congressional seat to current CA 49 Congressman Mike Levin in 2016.

Rachel is an active leader in the J Street San Diego Chapter and serves on the J Street Regional Advisory Committee. She is the president of Futures Unbound, a family foundation committed to empowering families, advancing climate solutions, and strengthening our democracy.

Rachel lives in Solana Beach, California with husband, Peter. They enjoy travel, all things outdoors, and spending quality time with their three adult children.
